Are you feeling overwhelmed and unable to think clearly? Many clients are unaware that their nervous system is overwhelmed and unregulated, which can cause symptoms such as fatigue, poor sleep, hyper-vigilance and anxiety. As a somatic (body-informed) therapist, I understand how the body can hold emotions, trauma or defensiveness, which can change how people function and show up in the world. They might present as angry, stressed out, distracted or ambivalent. Allow me to support you on a journey back to your authentic self, as your explore resources and strategies.
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor my focus is to help people feel safe, while allowing them to manage whatever life throws at them. I maintain respectful and compassionate communication as we explore your goals. I listen with respect and curiosity, working collaboratively to find ways forward that fit your needs, as a unique individual.
In addition, my background as a paramedic and firefighter has informed my practice by allowing me to become skilled at managing crisis. If trauma or crises are affecting your life, I would be honored to work with you and your loved ones. My practice includes supporting adolescents, adults, couples and families. Welcoming first responders and military.
Yoga as Therapy
Register for a one-on-one session, to address your physical, mental and emotional needs. This session will be an individualized approach. to ensure a safe and comprehensive therapeutic approach. The use of movement, breath and meditation can encourage healing in the body, by creating a deeper sense of balance. I invite all clients to reserve a session, as I will guide the practice to meet you where you are at. Whether you are a high performing athlete who requires mental stamina, or someone who suffers from MS, chronic fatigue, or complex health issues, there are daily resources and practices to support your healing journey.
